Swimming.

This is actually a "from the vault", but I thought it's summer-y content would be appropriate.

AHHHH!

I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!

I promise I'll post something that's not a "from the vault"! More themes soon!

Maybe just one more...

I won't be able to post until Thursday due to some family stuff. However, I will post a drawing done from a photo of a family reunion back in 1985. I was four. Try and spot me.

Not another one...

O.K. So this is actually the very first illustration that I colored digitally (I think). I did it the fall of 2003, prompty after working in Maine at a summer camp. I find it appropriate given my latest move. Things are coming along...lots of cleaning, lots of unpacking, lots of organizing. A quater of our stuff is still in Maine. It'll be gotten sooner or later. I just can't wait until it feels like home. Eh. I'm kind of (kind of?!) rambling here. Sorries.

!robot.

As promised, another illustration from the MIT series. Moving has officially happened (though it's far from done). I'm wicked tired. Wicked. G'night, er, I mean morning.

And a "from the vault" it is...

Back in 2005 (which really wasn't that long ago), I did a series of illustrations for the MIT Viewbook (their catalog of sorts that goes out to prospective students). I had a blast drawing and coloring these (there's 3 others; I'll post them later); it was one of my first digital coloring endeavors. I've been meaning to post a Photoshop coloring tutorial for some time, because my good friend Bill (who I would link, but his site's down) learned me all there is to know about coloring lines. Soon I will post this tutorial...soon.

p.s. The themes will be back shortly; I'm heading down to the Boston area to paint my new abode...pictures will follow (I'll be back Saturday night).

Who let that cat out of the vault?

An old sketch of my kitty Skeeter (who's no longer with us) done sometime in 2002. He was such a good kitty. Always frollicking and purring, though he had a penchant for leg-humping. But it was innocent leg-humping.

Love Stinks.

As promissed, a "From the Vault" animation. This was done back in winter of 2003 during my senior year of college, while taking an animation class. It's done with sand on a light box and is shot on film (that's about as technical I can get). Might I add that the music was written by yours truly, and performed by myself and Mr. Joel Frenzer (who also supplied some amazing sound effects). Oh, and it's really short. (It was a one-day project)

New Category: From the Vault

Alrighy, seeing as how I haven't written many words of late, here's something: I've decided to post old drawings from the 'vault' of past sketchbooks. I've been filling them with doodles, as well as other odds'n'ends since 1999, so I thought it might be nice to have those doodles see the light of day once again. I'm not going to do them in any particular order, but I'll try to include the date I made the drawing when possible (sometimes I just don't know). Here goes:

I did this near-spring of 2000; it's one of the first comics I drew in my sketchbook.
